IAFEE Roundtable: Lessons from Social Movements: Translating Feminist Economic Principles into Policy and Institutional Change
Event Summary
ACT CoP members are hosting a roundtable session at the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) Annual Conference, which takes place in Cali, Colombia from 9 – 11 July 2026.
The roundtable explores what contemporary social movements can teach us about translating feminist economic principles into durable policy, institutional and cultural change, with a particular focus on building infrastructures and economies of care. It will bring together feminist scholars, practitioners, and movement actors from across East and Southern Africa to share grounded lessons on organising for care as a public good.
